LANSING (WKZO) -- Michigan Department of Community Health officials say another state resident has died from fungal meningitis.
The latest was a 73-year-old male from Grand Traverse County. That brings the total in Michigan to 16-deaths from contaminated steroid injections and a total of 244 known infections.
The New England lab responsible has closed down and declared bankruptcy. Michigan has been hit harder by the outbreak than any other state.
