AUBURN HILLS (WKZO) -- Chrysler will reportedly be announcing an expansion of a transmission plant in Indiana next week.

CEO Sergio Marchionne is expected to be at the factory in Kokomo to announce what are being called "investments and jobs" to boost manufacturing at the plant.  Chrysler had announced late last year it was considering a plan to invest in a former Gertag Transmission plant in Tipton.

If the automaker does follow through on their plan, the expansion could create as many as 850 jobs.
