Detroit could have an Emergency Manager writing the checks in a few weeks.

LANSING (WKZO) -- It’s looking more and more like Detroit will get an emergency financial manager.

A financial review team appointed by the Governor has determined that not only does the Motor City have a financial emergency on its hands, but it really doesn't have the tools to resolve it.

Governor Rick Snyder has 30-days to review the report and determine if he agrees, but he could appoint an E.F.M. at any time.

Given the fact that voters in Michigan tossed out the latest version of its Emergency Manager Law in November, and the legislature has since reinstated a version that is nearly as controversial, sparks could fly.
