COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - It’s been that kind of year in Branch County. The new Sheriff, John Pollack, is having to deal with a drastically reduced road patrol because of budget cuts and deputy layoffs. Now, the new Prosecutor, Ralph Kimble, is losing his Chief Assistant Prosecutor. Chris Anderson, who been with the county for two years, is leaving to take an assistant prosecutor’s post in Eaton County to be closer to family. Anderson’s last day on the job is tomorrow. It means Valerie White will move up to take over Anderson’s post and Kimble was given permission today by a committee of the County Commission to hire a replacement to fill the vacancy.
