COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - Branch County was advised Thursday evening by the National Weather Service to be prepared for winter weather this morning and the snow arrived pretty much as forecast with up to 3 inches in some locations with the heaviest bands moving across the area between about 4 a.m. and 7 a.m.
There’s been enough of the white stuff in recent weeks that motorists seem to be adapting somewhat with very few of the usual slide off or fender bender accidents reported today. There were hazardous driving conditions for a time prompting the Union City, Tekonsha, and Athens school districts to cancel classes today along with St. Mary’s school in Bronson.
