COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - There’s industrial expansion in the works for Coldwater. The local Michigan Works! office says H.C. Starck has new machinery coming in and is going to direct hire up to 12 people and Michigan Works! will be hosting a jobs fair a week from tomorrow. Applications and resumes are being accepted for full time CNC operators, machine operators and Master or Journeyman electricians.

Also next month in Battle Creek, there’s an event to help local unemployed and underemployed people in Branch, Barry and Calhoun counties connect with employers who have positions open currently. The Ready Now event is scheduled for March 11^th to the 14^th.

In addition, Michigan Works says it’s putting together a new group for employers in Branch County called BECA, the Branch Employer Community Alliance . There will be a monthly session for employers and their staff lasting around two hours. Also, once a quarter, they will try to have a 4 hour training session for other topics that need more in depth information.
