COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - The latest winter blast has claimed another couple of sports events. This time it's season ending middle school basketball tournaments for Coldwater teams.  Already facing two days of delays and problems coordinating facilities for make-ups, the girls 7th and 8th grade B team basketball tournament at Gull Lake has been cancelled.  The 8th grade A team tournament at Harper Creek has also been cancelled, but the 7th grade A tournament has just been pushed back a day, with Coldwater playing again Thursday night.

After postponing games last night for the Coldwater Exchange Club Freshman Basketball Tournament last night, organizers scratched tonight's games as well.  The schedule now has Coldwater facing Kalamazoo Loy Norrix Thursday at 7:15 pm at Legg Middle School, with Angola facing Prairie Heights in the early game at 5:30 pm at Legg.  At Coldwater High School Thursday at 5:30 pm, Jackson Lumen Christi will face Sturgis, with Pennfield against Jackson High at 7:15, also at CHS. There will be two more games Friday night at Legg Middle School, with the final 4 championship and consolation bracket games Saturday at LMS.
