Michigan’s push for a possible Big Ten regular season title took a big hit last night as the 4th-ranked Wolverines suffered a huge upset with an 84—to-78 loss at Penn State. Michigan had a 9 point lead with 11 minutes to play but couldn’t put away a Nittany Lion team that was on a 14-game losing streak and had dropped 18 straight conference games dating back to last year. Tim Hardaway Jr. had 19 points for Michigan while Trey Burke added 18 as the Wolverines slip to 10-and-5 in the league and 23-and-5 overall. Coming up Sunday, Michigan plays at home against Michigan State.
