After a dismal 2012, the Lions have parted ways with three assistant coaches. Detroit has decided not to renew the contracts of running backs coach Sam Gash, wide receivers coach Shawn Jefferson and offensive line coach George Yarno.

The Lions closed the season with an 8-game losing streak and a 26-to-24 loss to the Bears Sunday at Ford Field to finish with a 4-and-12 record. Detroit head coach Jim Schwartz is under contract with the Lions through 2015.
