COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - Even though it's taken a while for winter to take hold, freezing temperatures this past week have allowed the city of Coldwater to open up the ice skating rink at Waterworks Park. The rink is located on the east of Sprague Street.

The city's Recreation Department is also offering indoors activities this week for 4th through 12th graders.  Open gym time with volleyball and baskeball is available at the Independence Recreation Building at Heritage Park from 1:30 pm-5 pm Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons this week.
