The NHL and the Players' Association met twice yesterday to continue talks for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. Also on Wednesday, the NHLPA made a response to the latest offer from the league. Both sides are meeting again today with a mediator. NHL commissioner Gary Bettman says a regular season schedule of 48 games must start by January 19th. Games have already been cancelled through January 14th.
