COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - A truck driver managed to escape injury this morning in a bad looking semi-tractor trailer accident in southern Branch County. It happened shortly before 8 a.m. on northbound I-69 just north of the Michigan-Indiana state line. The rig went off the east side of the highway with the cab and trailer rolling over and landing upside down.

Authorities say the trucker  was trapped in the wreckage for a short time and was able to crawl through the sun roof of the cab with the assistance of Lakeland and Fremont firemen. The accident remains under investigation by the Branch County Sheriff’s Department.
