LANSING (WKZO) -- Michigan State Police say 19 people were killed in car accidents in the state over the Christmas and New Year's holidays.  The numbers are preliminary, but are down from the 22 killed a year ago.  MSP officials say alcohol was a factor in ten of the deaths this past year, while seven of the deceased were not wearing seat belts.
