LANSING (WKZO) -- By the end of Friday an error impacting 85,000 food assistance recipients and their families should be corrected.
According to the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget, as a result of human error, benefits to Bridge Cards for clients with account numbers ending a zero were not loaded properly. A statement from the department says that officials worked overnight and will continue to work through the day to correct the problem.
The statement also says that the DTMB is working to make sure a similar error does not occur again.
