UNDATED (WTVB) - A study says states that have the lowest gun-linked fatality rates also have strict gun laws. The Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence says Hawaii, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and three other northeastern states that have tight gun rules also have low per-capita rates of death from guns.
States with high per-capita rates were shown to have looser restrictions on firearms. That list includes Louisiana, Nevada, Arizona, Alaska, Mississippi and Alabama to name a few.
