STURGIS, MI (WKZO) --  A man suspected of drug dealing is in custody in Sturgis, but it wasn’t easy. City Police already had warrants for the suspect’s arrest on other drug counts. When they arrived at  his home in the 600 block of E. West St. to pick him up, he was just leaving out his back door.  When the suspect saw the officers, he took off on foot running thru his neighbor’s back yards.  When officers finally ran him down, he put up a fight and had to be tased, before they would let them cuff him.

The man now faces resisting and obstructing and assault charges in addition to the original drug counts.
