Alabama ran all over Notre Dame last night on its way to a 42-to-14 victory in the BCS National Championship Game in Miami. The Crimson Tide captured their third national title in four years under ex-Michigan State coach Nick Saban and locked up the seventh consecutive BCS Championship for the Southeastern Conference. Eddie Lacy ran for 140 yards and a touchdown while T.J. Yeldon rushed for an additional 108 yards and a score. Quarterback AJ McCarron finished with 264 yards and four touchdown passes for 'Bama, which jumped out to a 28-to-0 halftime lead.
After the game, Saban paid tribute to his team for being able to repeat as national champions The Tide finished the year at 13-and-1 while the Fighting Irish suffered their first loss of the season to fall to 12-and-1.
