BRANCH COUNTY. MI (WTVB) - Some unexpected icy conditions developed this morning in South Central Michigan, including a few locales in Branch County, making for a slippery commute for motorists. There were a couple of accidents in the county with minor injuries, but nothing serious reported with the various slide offs.

Temperatures were steady in the upper 30’s to around 40 but a light rain and drizzle before six set up the conditions for the crashes.  Locations of the accidents included Jonesville and Briggs Roads, Union City and North Lake Drive, Garfield and Sanford, and Clarendon and Butler roads.
