Second-ranked Michigan tonight has an excellent chance to match the best start in the program’s history as the 15-and-0 Wolverines host Nebraska at Crisler Center. In its last 5 games, Michigan has averaged 90 points while shooting 55% from the field. The Wolverines have also won ten straight at home. Michigan wants to guard against looking ahead to a pair of tougher road games in the Big Ten as they play Saturday afternoon at Ohio State and a week from tomorrow at Minnesota. Last night, Ohio State was a winner at Purdue 74-to-64 and Number-one Duke had no problem staying unbeaten last night with a 68-to-40 victory over Clemson.
Tonight’s schedule also includes Western Michigan playing its Mid-American Conference opener at Akron.
