UNDATED (WTVB) - Were you counting on that early refund? Think again. The start of tax filing season has been delayed thanks to issues linked to the fiscal cliff negotiations.

IRS officials say they will begin accepting 2012 tax filings on January 30th, eight days later than originally planned. IRS officials moved the date back because of last-minute changes to tax law enacted by Congress as part of the fiscal cliff deal. The new legislation raises income tax rates on households bringing in over 450-thousand dollars and extends tax breaks for a number of businesses and individuals
