LANSING (WKZO) -- Bob Bashara has been moved from a correctional department reception center in Jackson to a prison in northern Michigan.

According to Department of Corrections officials, Bashara is now at a facility in Manistee.  He was sentenced to six to 20 years in prison last month after pleading guilty to charges that he tried to hire a hit man to kill Joseph Gentz.  Gentz has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in connection with the death of Bashara's wife, Jane Bashara, who was found strangled in January 2012.

Gentz is scheduled to be sentenced January 29th.
