In a surprise decision, Michigan junior All-American left tackle Taylor Lewan announced Wednesday that he will turn down a sure lock lucrative contract in the National Football League and return for his senior season with the Wolverines. According to Lewan, the NFL Draft advisory board said he would be a high first round draft pick.
Lewan said electing to stay at Michigan was influenced in part by his talk with former Wolverines left tackle Jake Long, who was an All-American as a junior but decided to return to school for his senior season and went on to become a number-one overall pick.
