Battle Creek, MI (WTVB) - Former Democratic Congressman Mark Schauer served one term that ended in 2010 in Washington as he represented Branch County and the rest of the Seventh District, but he isn't through with politics. Schauer says he’s kept busy, working mostly around job creation, particularly with clean energy and green projects, coupled with protecting collective bargaining.
He says the two go hand in hand in a lot of ways because there are a lot of good jobs being created in that sector. Schauer says he’s still mulling over a possible run for Governor in 2014 because while he enjoys what he’s doing right now, he’s very unhappy with what the Michigan legislature and Governor Snyder did to end 2012. He doesn't have a timetable on making a decision, but he hasn't ruled it out.
