, MI (WKZO) - Sturgis Police began receiving reports of a man driving erratically and disobeying traffic signs late Saturday night. Deputies were able to locate the car and watched it as the driver made several driving mistakes, including outright violations.
Suspecting the driver was drunk, they pulled him over near Fawn River and South Centerville Roads. First they found out the 32-year-old from Elkhart, Indiana was unlicensed.
That led to a search of the car. They found a working one pot meth lab under the front seat and marijuana.
He is being held without bond for drug possession and distribution, operating while intoxicated and for having no operator’s license, pending his arraignment.
