Michigan’s three point loss Sunday at Ohio State slipped the once-beaten Wolverines down 3 places in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 poll with the U-of-M now ranked fifth in the nation. Michigan has another tough test coming up Thursday when they play at ninth-ranked Minnesota. The new number-one team in the land is Louisville, followed by Indiana, Duke, and Kansas. It’s the same top five in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Louisville played like number-one last night with the Cardinal taking over in the second half in a 74-to-58 win at Connecticut.
Back to the rankings, Michigan State moved up a bit this week following Sunday’s home win over Nebraska. The Spartans went from 22nd to 18th place in the AP poll and from 18th to 17th place in the Coach’s Poll. The Spartan’s next game is tomorrow night at Penn State.
