AUGUSTA, MI (WKZO) -- Global automotive supplier DENSO announced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, that it is investing nearly one billion dollars in North America over the next four years.
More than $750-million of that will be in the U.S., creating more than 12-hundred jobs. The investment will go toward R & D, production line expansion and the creation of new production lines.
Spokesman Terry Helgeson made the announcement yesterday. He says about 150 million would be invested at their U.S. Headquarters in Southfield and at their plant in Battle Creek, creating 400 new jobs. That was as specific as he got.
Denso had already announced last year a plan to invest 92-million in the Fort Custer facility, creating 60 new jobs.
