U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow delivered the State of Michigan Agriculture address Tuesday. Speaking at the 80th annual winter conference of the Michigan Agri-Business Association, Stabenow focused on the future of agriculture in the state and talked about her efforts to strengthen it as part of Michigan's economy.
As Chair of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, she also spoke about efforts in Washington to pass a five-year farm bill designed to reform farm payments, protect jobs, provide tools to protect farmers from disaster and cut spending by 24-billion dollars.
