MICHIGAN (WKZO) - The Office of Highway Safety Planning says 103-drunk drivers were arrested during the four day New Years Crackdown by police agencies in 22 counties. Officers made over 31-hundred stops, ticketing 209 for speeding, arresting 50-fugitives on various warrants and finding that 156 were uninsured.
In Kalamazoo County, 50 cars were stopped and 3 drivers were arrested for driving drunk.
12-people died in New Year’s Holiday crashes statewide, down from 14 the year before.
