The Tigers have re-signed a half dozen players and in the process, dodged arbitration with the settlements agreed to for pitchers Rick Porcello, Doug Fister and Phil Coke along with catcher Alex Avilla and outfielders Austin Jackson and Brennan Boesch. The only one of the seven Detroit arbitration eligible players not to reach an agreement was pitcher Max Scherzer.
