COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - A Coldwater man is being held on $100,000 bond after being charged yesterday in connection with a fatal traffic accident last spring north of Coldwater that took the life of a Coldwater woman. 22-year old Andrew Kelley was arrested Tuesday, accused of OWI causing death.

Killed in the head on crash on Old 27 in Girard Township was 34-year old Jessica Bates. Kelley is due back in District Court for a preliminary exam a week from tomorrow. He was seriously injured in the accident that investigators said occurred as Kelley pulled out from behind a semi and attempted to pass but instead collided with the Bates’ car around 5 in the morning on April Ninth of last year.
