Red Wings defenseman Ian White will miss the next two-to-three weeks because of a leg injury. White, who had surgery yesterday morning, was cut by the skate blade of Detroit goaltender Jimmy Howard midway through the third period of Tuesday night's 2-to-1 loss to the Stars in the Red Wing’s home opener. Detroit forwards Todd Bertuzzi and Darren Helm are expected to return Friday night against the Wild at Joe Louis Arena. The Red Wings early season record is 1-and-2 while Minnesota is 2-and-1
