Coldwater's Entertainment Under The Stars music series resumes Tuesday night

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A summertime tradition in downtown Coldwater continues Tuesday night, with the kick-off of the 2013 Entertainment Under The Stars music series. Jim Stout will headline the opening show on July 2 at 7 pm, playing original tried and true blues, folk and country tunes. On July 9th, the Daybreak Trio featuring Dan Hefner, Barb Hefner,  and Rob Cooper, with favorites from the 1960's & 70's. On July 16th the Randall Hazelbaker Group will offer up their various renditions of jazz from the 1930's to 1950's and will be playing music by Fats Waller, Charlie Parker and Herbie Hancock. This quartet is made up of Randall Hazelbaker, on sax, Pete Fair on bass, Joe Holicki on drums and Russell Gates on piano.  Bill Milnes will join in for some vocals.

The outdoor concert July 23rd will feature the band Lovey Howl with Jim Dove and Roger Roberts.  The core of the Lovey Howl band is the Ufkes brothers, with Tim on keyboard, Tom on drums and Todd on bass guitar, joining guitarist and professional musician Jim Dove and saxophonist Roger Roberts. They will be performing music from the 50's to current with a heavy emphasis on the 1970's. 

The Entertainment Under The Stars series wraps up July 30th with Shades of Grey.  The 1960’s and 70’s rock and roll band features Chris Edwards guitar on guitar, Tom Puyear on keyboards Jeff McGinnis and Betty Sale on vocals, and  Jim and Jonathan Voss on drums.

Free bus service from the Branch Area Transit Authority will be provided to senior housing residents. Call BATA at 278-5889 to schedule a ride

In case of rain the concert will be held at the Coach Eby Youth and Family Center, 89 W. Chicago St. (formally called the Armory)
