Would you believe there really is a pill that helps you lose weight without exercise or diet? Researchers at the University of Michigan think they may have it. They noticed a drug used to treat canker sores also left the mice that tested the treatment slimmer. The mice that didn’t remained heavy. It’s called Amlexanox and Dr. Elif Oral is beginning the first small human studies on a group of patients who really need to lose weight, Type 2 diabetics, and if it works on them, with no dangerous side effects, they will conduct larger studies. Amlexanox seems to alter how the body digests and absorbs sugars which is a major contributor to weight gain.
