It could be an interesting, if short day for lawmakers in Lansing. It turns out the State Capitol is being re-carpeted and there are no chairs or desks in the legislative chambers. That means when the roll call is taken, they will probably have to do it standing up and use a bull horn. Democrats say they will demand that they take a vote on Medicaid expansion, but the Republican leadership says it isn’t going to happen. Democrats have already planned a news conference following the session to complain about the Republicans.
