COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - With near perfect weather in the forecast, Branch County is gearing up for a big night of fireworks to cerelebrate Independance Day. Marble Lake's Corn Island will have fireworks tonight, with other activities, including boat decoration judging, live music, and a hog roast throughout the afternoon. The annual July 4th parade was held Thursday morning.
Coldwater's $20,000 fireworks display at Heritage Park, coordinated by the Sunrise and Noon Rotary clubs, will begin Thursday at around 10:15 pm. We'll have patriotic music to accompany the fireworks on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 Thursday from 10 pm-11 pm.
There will also be fireworks July 4th at the Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival at 10:30 pm. The festival runs July 3-7, 2013. A complete schedule of events is available at www.bcballoons.com
The final scheduled fireworks display of the holiday will be Saturday, July 6 at Coldwater Lake.
