BRANCH COUNTY (WTVB) - No major hassles reported with last night’s fireworks shows at Heritage Park in Coldwater or at Quincy’s Marble Lake as the rain stayed away and the crowds turned out in big numbers. If you missed out, there’s still tomorrow night’s fireworks at Coldwater Lake. In Coldwater last night, it was a 35 minute show which was launched shortly after 10:15 and the sky watchers, young and old, seemed thrilled with the wide array of displays and frequent loud boomers that shook up the west side of town. The traffic in and out of the Heritage Park area along Western Avenue appeared to maybe run a bit smoother than in previous years after City Police on Thursday morning placed "no parking" placards up and down Western leaving a wider space for the many vehicles to travel to and from the fireworks which again were made available through the generosity and fund raising efforts of the Coldwater Sunrise and Coldwater Noon Rotary Clubs.
