DETROIT (WKZO) -- Mike Duggan is doing what he can to overcome the hurdles of running a write-in campaign in his quest to become the next mayor of Detroit.
Radio ads started running on Friday featuring former Detroit Medical Center staffers talking about how Duggan turned the center around when he was CEO. He is also campaigning with a "Power of Five" initiative.
Duggan asks his supporters to sign a pledge to write his name on Detroit's primary ballot next month and asks them to get five other people to do the same. In order to make a run in November, Duggan has to be one of the two top finishers in the August 6th primary.
