COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - Michigan State Police say confessions are being obtained and five suspects have been identified with one arrest so far in connection with last month’s break-in and thefts from Tuckey Motorsports on Coldwater’s east side. The crime at the business on East Chicago Road happened in the early morning hours of June 25th.     As many as five individuals entered the business and stole approximately $6,400.00 worth of car audio equipment. There were four adults and one juvenile involved. Two of the subjects were from Coldwater, two from Bronson, and one from Georgia. In store video monitoring captured the likeness of at least one of the suspects. That likeness was then posted on Facebook prompting numerous tips on the subject’s identity, with a positive I-D being made on him and eventually all five of the alleged thieves.

All of the stolen merchandise was recovered. The one person charged so far is 18-year old Salomon Machuca, Jr. of Bronson. He was arrested Tuesday and arraigned in District Court Wednesday on 2 counts of larceny from a building along with receiving stolen property and probation violation.  He remains jailed with his bond set at $25,000.
