LANSING (WKZO) -- State House Democrats are pushing an eight-bill package to reform the state's laws on fracking for natural gas. The legislation would mandate all chemicals used in the process to extract gas from deep underground be disclosed and would give local governments control of the wells in their communities. The practice uses a mixture of chemicals, sand and water to break up bedrock and get into oil and natural gas well under the surface of the Earth.
