LANSING (WKZO) -- The heat will continue throughout the week in most of the state, with high humidity pushing heat indices well into the upper 90s. The Michigan Department of Community Health is urging people to be careful if outside. The MDCH says to avoid heat-related illnesses, stay out of the sun when possible, wear loose-fitting and light-colored clothes, stay hydrated with water and sports drinks and limit one's time outside when possible.
