COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) -It’s a photo-op that doesn’t come around very often. Three ex-Branch County Sheriff’s together along with the current head of the county’s law enforcement agency. It happened yesterday afternoon at the Branch County Courthouse in Coldwater where the sheriff’s quartet gathered to help county government formally recognize the retirement of Ann Edgell. She was employed for 30 years as the administrative assistant at the Sheriff’s Department, serving under 4 sheriffs. She started under Norm Heinemann, who presented Edgell with a plaque of appreciation at yesterday’s county Board of Commissioner’s meeting. Also on hand were former sheriffs Ted Gordon and Warren Cannon and current Sheriff John Pollack.
The Edgell retirement ceremony was basically the highlight of an otherwise relatively short and routine session for the County Commission.
