The Tigers let a 2-to-0 lead get away in the seventh when the Orioles scored 3 runs and Detroit went on to lose yesterday afternoon 4-to-2 at Baltimore in the rubber game of the 3 game series. The Tigers, who have the day off today, have dropped five of their last six games, but still top the American League Central by a half game over the Indians. Rick Porcello took the loss for Detroit. Chris Davis belted his major league leading 20th home run off Porcello to kick start the three-run seventh. Prince Fielder belted a solo shot and a double for Detroit, but Miguel Cabrera hit into a pair of double plays and also struck out once to go along with a single.
The Tigers begin a 6 game home stand tomorrow night starting with a 3-game series against Tampa Bay. The White Sox were shutout 2-to-0 yesterday at Oakland while the Cubs lost 8-to-4 to the Diamondbacks at Wrigley Field.
