It’s the Tigers vs. the Rays tonight at Comerica Park in the opener of a 3-game series after both teams were idle on Monday. Detroit has dropped five of its last six games while Tampa Bay arrives in Motown leading the Majors in scoring since the middle of last month averaging just over six runs a game while winning 11 of 16. The Tigers remain on top of the American League Central and are one full game ahead of the second place Cleveland Indians after Cleveland lost last night to the Yankees in New York. The Tigers and Indians open a 3-game set in Detroit Friday night.

The slumping White Sox dropped their seventh in-a row last night, losing 4-to-2 at Seattle. And it was a travel day Monday for the Cubs, who are out west for a short 2-game series beginning tonight against the Angels.
