Major League Baseball will reportedly suspend about 20 players, including Tiger’s shortstop Jhonny Peralta, for their involvement in a Miami anti-aging clinic that allegedly supplied the players with performance enhancing drugs. According to an ESPN "Outside the Lines" report, Tony Bosch, the founder of the Biogenesis of America clinic, reached an agreement to cooperate with MLB officials investigating the matter.
Tuesday's report said the suspensions could be handed down within the next two weeks. Peralta declined comment yesterday, saying he can’t discuss the PED investigation. The list of names involved also includes Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun, Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez and Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz.
