The NASCAR world will be carrying a heavy heart as it descends on the Irish Hills for this weekend’s racing action at Michigan International Speedway. Driver Jason Leffler died last night after an accident in a dirt car event in Bridgeport, New Jersey. The 37-year old Leffler was a 2-time winner on the Nationwide Series. He raced Sunday at Pocono in his first Sprint Cup start of the season. Leffler competed in all three of NASCAR’s national touring series beginning in 1999 and the next year, raced at the Indianapolis 500.
