BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO) -- A former Calhoun County Correctional officer has been ordered to trial for allegedly soliciting sex from a teenager and other crimes.
A young man testified that after communicating with 26-year-old Troy Pope, he met him in his car some years ago, and accepted money when he was just 16 to let Pope perform a sex act on him.
Pope is specifically charged with accosting a minor for immoral purpose, computer crimes and 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct.
The victim claimed that Pope used the name “Mark Olmstead” and a fake Facebook page, that prosecutors say he used to cruise the internet for young boys.
