COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - High school juniors around the state will have their fill of tests by week's end. They'll not only take the national ACT test, but the three part Michigan Merit Exam. Coldwaer High School 11th graders will be taking their tests at the Free Methodist Church activities center, located across the street from the high school. Tuesday they will take the ACT, as well as the writing portion of the Michigan Merit Exam. On Wednesday they will tackle the Workkeys portion of the MME, and then Thursday finish up with the Michigan math, science, and social studies portions of the MME.
9th and 10th graders will be taking the ACT PLAN test on Tuesday. It's designed as a midpoint measure of academic progress in ACT's College and Career Readiness System.
The Coldwater school district will also have a half-day of classes on Friday, March 8, because of teacher Professional Development activities.
