DETROIT (WKZO) -- A former Tuskegee airman was carjacked on Saturday. According to police, 89-year-old Jesee Rutledge was leaving his barber shop near Van Dyke and Harper roads when a group of men appeared from a nearby abandoned home and approached him.
Rutledge says they put a gun to his head, demanded his keys and took off with his vehicle. According to Rutledge, one of the suspects holding a gun on him was just a kid, barely tall enough to see over the steering wheel.
Authorities were able to track down and arrest the suspects.
