How To Handle Daylight Savings Time

UNDATED (WTVB) - Just so this doesn’t creep up on you this weekend, here’s an early reminder that people will turn their clocks ahead one hour this Sunday as Daylight Saving Time begins. Cleveland Clinic behavioral health specialist Jane Ehrman says folks can compensate for losing that hour of sleep by getting to bed about 15 minutes earlier the next few nights before the time change takes effect. She also suggests getting more exercise so you'll have an easier time falling asleep. Ehrman says smart ways to deal with daytime sleepiness after Daylight Saving Time kicks in include taking a brisk walk or eating a healthy snack like fruit, nuts or fresh veggies for an energy boost.
