Michigan remains in the running for a share of the Big Ten regular season title thanks to Ohio State as the 14th-ranked Buckeyes last night pulled off the upset at number-2 Indiana, beating the Hoosiers 67-to-58. The loss prevented Indiana from clinching the outright conference crown.
Michigan can grab a share of the championship if the 7th-ranked Wolverines win tonight at Purdue and then defeat the Hoosiers Sunday at Crisler Center.
Last night in the Mid-American Conference, Western Michigan lost at home to Ball State 89-to-85 with the defeat preventing the Broncos from clinching their sixth MAC West Division title. WMU is tied with Toledo atop the division, although the Rockets are banned from post season play because they failed to meet NCAA academic standards.
